Call For Contributions for AlpCHI 2026

The full call for papers will be published soon!

We invite contributions that align with the core themes of HCI research and practice. Whether you are investigating novel interaction techniques, studying user experiences in digital and physical environments, or exploring design methodologies, AlpCHI offers a space to present and discuss your work in a collaborative and scenic setting. In addition to traditional research papers, AlpCHI encourages hands-on demonstrations, interactive experiences, and system showcases that highlight innovative HCI applications. This emphasis on tangible interaction aligns with the conference’s goal of fostering meaningful discussions through direct engagement with technology.

AlpCHI 2026 will also feature a special track dedicated to revisiting and re-examining influential HCI research published in 2014 or earlier. This track aims to highlight how past research has shaped the evolution of HCI, exploring its ongoing relevance in today’s technology landscape. Revisiting studies from the past offers an opportunity to reflect on their foundational contributions, assess their impact on current HCI practices, and consider how they have influenced or adapted to emerging trends in design, interaction, and human-centred technologies. We encourage submissions that critically analyse seminal works, provide updates on long-term research trajectories, or explore new interpretations of classic HCI findings.
