Theme: Interaction in Nature, in the Wild, at the Summit
We are excited to invite you to contribute to the inaugural AlpCHI Demo Track, where ideas come to life. In line with this year’s theme — Interaction in Nature, in the Wild, at the Summit — we welcome submissions that embrace nature, wildness, remoteness, and the extreme. Demos offer a unique opportunity to showcase prototypes, installations, systems, and artistic explorations that embody resilience, mindfulness, sustainability, and human connection with people and places.
At AlpCHI, demonstrations are central: we believe HCI should be experienced, not only described. Whether your work is a polished prototype, an experimental concept, or even a revisited demo from 20 or 30 years ago, if it invites interaction and sparks curiosity, it has a place at AlpCHI. Researchers, designers, artists, and practitioners worldwide are warmly invited to participate — you do not need to live or work in theAlpine region to contribute. Submissions beyond the main theme are equally welcome.

Important note to authors about the new ACM open access publishing model
ACM has introduced a new open access publishing model for the International Conference Proceedings Series (ICPS). Authors based at institutions that are not yet part of the ACM Open program and do not qualify for a waiver will be required to pay an article processing charge (APC) to publish their ICPS article in the ACM Digital Library. To determine whether or not an APC will be applicable to your article, please follow the detailed guidance here: https://www.acm.org/publications/icps/author-guidance.
Further information may be found on the ACM website, as follows:
